Our History

Benefits Planning Corporation was Established in 1980 by the current President/CEO, Anthony T. Izzo. He had a vision to provide exceptional employee benefits through the benefit of payroll deduction, while also minimizing the cost and burden of the employer to provide great benefits.

We started administering voluntary benefits to employees in the healthcare industry and non-profit organizations. That population of people are extremely busy and hardworking people; and we wanted to create a robust approach to make their lives easier and less stressful when it came to their benefits. We believe our ability to provide dedicated one-on-one enrollment specialists, while also providing comprehensive administrative services to our clients, on an on-going basis without ever charging any fees is unique to the industry. BPC is proud to be an authorized and recommended enrollment firm of the American Hospital Association (AHA) from 1992-2004, having met the strict due diligence requirements of the AHA.

Today we administer the voluntary benefit programs for the union population of the largest employer in NY, Northwell Health which has 70,000+ employees and still growing. We have been Northwell’s Voluntary benefit administrator since we were established in 1980. We administer over 24,000 policies accounting for 12,000+ clients.

Through the years our volume of business has grown, as Northwell has grown, but our goals have remained unchanged; to utilize our expertise and markets toward the design and implementation of successful employee benefit programs and to provide our clients with a superior level of customer service.

One that meets the needs of each of their employees, regardless of the demographics; is cost effective for the organization and employees, and that reduces, rather than creates, additional administrative duties for their staff.
